Tata Motors has launched two new versions of its Nexon SUV – the Nexon iCNG and the Nexon.ev with a 45 kWh battery pack. With these additions, Tata Motors has positioned the Nexon as India’s only vehicle available in four distinct powertrains: petrol, diesel, CNG, and electric.

The Nexon iCNG stands out as India’s first turbocharged CNG vehicle. Equipped with a 1.2-litre turbocharged engine, it produces 98.6 bhp of power and 170 Nm of torque, providing customers with a no-compromise driving experience. Tata Motors has also ensured practicality, offering segment-leading boot space of 321 litres through its innovative twin-cylinder technology. On the feature front, the Nexon iCNG boasts premium additions such as a panoramic sunroof, ventilated leatherette seats, and a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, making it the most luxurious CNG SUV in the market.

In terms of safety, the Nexon iCNG builds on a 5-star G-NCAP rated architecture. It includes advanced safety features such as leak detection, fire protection devices, and thermal incident protection, ensuring peace of mind for drivers and passengers alike.

Simultaneously, Tata Motors has expanded its electric vehicle (EV) range by introducing a Nexon.ev variant with a 45 kWh battery pack. This version offers a real-world range of 350–370 km, addressing concerns over range anxiety. Additionally, faster charging capabilities and enhanced features make it a practical and attractive option for EV customers. The new Red Hot #DARK edition of the Nexon.ev adds a touch of style, featuring red accents inside and out, along with best-in-class features like a panoramic sunroof, unique infotainment system UI, and a smart charging indicator built into the LED DRL.

Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer of Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd, stated “The Nexon has sold over seven lakh units in seven years, and its popularity continues to grow. With the launch of the Nexon iCNG and the 45 kWh Nexon.ev, we are catering to a wider range of customer needs, ensuring there’s a Nexon for everyone.”

The Nexon iCNG starts at INR 8.99 lakh, while the Nexon.ev with the 45 kWh battery pack is priced from INR 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Both models are expected to attract eco-conscious buyers seeking high-performance vehicles without compromising on comfort or safety.
