New Delhi: Escorts Kubota Ltd on Friday said it has expanded its horticulture-focused tractor portfolio with the launch of the Kubota NeoStar compact and narrow tractor series, aiming to strengthen its presence in India’s fast-growing small horsepower farm equipment market.
The company said the NeoStar series, introduced in the 21–30 HP segment and catering to the 21–27 HP range, has been designed for horticulture, sugarcane and inter-row farming applications, particularly in states such as Maharashtra, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.
The rollout includes a new 27 HP narrow tractor variant with a width of around 2.98 feet, targeted at sugarcane fields and confined farming operations where conventional tractors face operational limitations.
Escorts Kubota said the NeoStar range comes equipped with features such as power steering and Eco PTO across all models to improve operator comfort and fuel efficiency, while the compact design supports multi-crop use in vineyards, orchards and vegetable farming.
The company said the launch builds on Kubota’s existing base of over 80,000 compact and narrow tractor customers in India and is aimed at capturing a larger share in the rapidly expanding horticulture mechanisation market.
“The 21–30 HP compact segment has grown significantly over the last three years and is now a fast-growing part of the Indian tractor market,” Escorts Kubota Chairman and Managing Director Nikhil Nanda said, adding that the NeoStar range would help deepen the company’s presence in key horticulture regions.
The Kubota NeoStar series will be made available through authorised Kubota dealerships across India, the company said.
