JK Tyre & Industries Ltd appoints Mandar V Deo as President – India

New Delhi: JK Tyre & Industries Limited is pleased to appoint Mr. Mandar Deo as President – India. He will report to the Chairman & Managing Director, Dr Raghupati Singhania and Mr. Anshuman Singhania, Managing Director, and will be based in Delhi.

Mr. Mandar Deo, aged 50, holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Pune University, a Master’s degree, and a PhD from Pennsylvania State University. He is also MBA from the Kelly School of Business – Indiana University.

Mr. Deo brings with him over two decades of rich and diverse experience, having held senior leadership roles in leading and reputed organisations, including Exide Energy Solutions Limited, Cummins India and Cummins Inc.

Welcoming Mr. Mandar Deo, Dr Raghupati Singhania, Chairman & Managing Director, JK Tyre said “I am confident that Mr. Deo will provide strong and adept leadership and steer JK Tyre on a new growth trajectory”.

JK Tyre, pioneers of radial technology in India, is a leading tyre manufacturer with well-known brands viz. JK Tyre, Vikrant, Tornel etc. The company has presence in over 105 countries across six continents, having 11 globally benchmarked ‘sustainable manufacturing facilities (9 in India and 2 in Mexico) with a total production capacity of over 35 Mn tyres per annum.

JK Tyre’s unwavering commitment towards innovation is reflected in its state-of-the-art global research and technology centre – “Raghupati Singhania Centre of Excellence” – in Mysore, which houses some of the world’s finest evaluation & testing facilities.

JK Tyre has launched India’s first ever ‘Smart Tyre’ technology with Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS), enabling real-time monitoring of critical tyre parameters, including pressure and temperature. The company is also the first Indian Tyre manufacturer to join global RE100 initiative, reinforcing its commitment to achieving 100% renewable electricity by 2050.
