Pune: Varroc Engineering has announced a significant new business win with a leading global electric vehicle manufacturer, marking a key step in the company’s expanding role within the rapidly evolving electric mobility ecosystem.

Under the strategic agreement, Varroc will supply AC bi-directional wall chargers for electric vehicles, designed to meet Energy Star standards and deliver high stability, advanced safety and seamless charging performance. The chargers will be manufactured at Varroc’s facility in Romania, ensuring adherence to global quality benchmarks and timely supply to international markets.

The programme is expected to run for six years, with Varroc ramping up production capacity in line with forecast demand from the OEM. At peak volumes, the contract is estimated to generate annual business worth around ₹4,391 million, or approximately USD 48 million, underscoring the scale and long-term nature of the partnership.

Commenting on the development, Dhruv Jain, Chief Executive Officer – Business II at Varroc, said the order reflects the company’s growing strength in advanced electronics and its commitment to delivering world-class solutions to global OEM partners. He added that the collaboration supports the broader automotive industry’s transition towards safe, smart and sustainable mobility.

The new order further strengthens Varroc’s footprint in the global passenger vehicle electronics market and aligns closely with its strategic roadmap to accelerate growth in advanced safety systems, lighting technologies and electric powertrain solutions. It also reinforces Varroc’s position as a trusted Tier-1 supplier capable of supporting next-generation mobility platforms.

As global demand for electric vehicles, connectivity features and advanced driver assistance systems continues to rise, Varroc said it remains focused on investing in cutting-edge automotive technologies. The company continues to leverage its strong electronics manufacturing capabilities and product development expertise to support the fast-growing e-mobility segment and deepen partnerships with global automotive OEMs.
